how i made shirts ๐Ÿ‘•

diving into a shirt era?! back in jan 2024, I did a booth at artbox and got a lot of new audience from that event. Lots of prints got sold and some people really wanted them as shirts. It was always something on my mind but taking the plunge wasnโ€™t easy. I had to consider a bunch of factors such as: the shirt quality, print durability, and making sure I had space to stock all the different sizes.

Then there was also the big decision on whether I should go for full-colour print, which can get pricey, or stick to classic silk screening art shirts. Ultimately, I decided to find a factory that specialises in digital printing (think uniqlo-quality print)

I first tried those print-on-demand services but honestly, their shirts felt too flimsy and seemed to stretch after a few washes. Plus finding the right fit was also tricky as I wasnโ€™t a fan of the drop-shoulder style which I kept coming across.

I then moved on to my second factory, while their shirts were really nice, they came at a high percentage of error (think smudged prints) and they do not take responsibility for it :L After changing factories 3 times, i finally found the one! What i like about working with them is that we have a common understanding on the vision and they are quite efficient with my order :)

Hopefully we can work together long term to make high quality, fun shirts for you ;)
